CCSMS Board Member Biographies
Chuck Bevers has been with Robert Bosch LLC since 1989 and is a Senior Electrical Engineer. He has been on the CCSMS Board since February of 2014. He feels there is a shortage in number and diversity of people wanting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and hopes to work with the CCSMS Board to improve that situation. He also volunteers as a mentor for a Bosch sponsored FIRST Robotics Teams and is active in his church. His son is a senior at CCSMS.
Russ Campbell is the Chief Deputy Auditor for Charleston County and has served the citizens of Charleston County in this capacity for the last 11 years. He was elected to the Board of Director in July of 2015 and currently serves as the Vice Chairman. He has a daughter that attends CCSMS and is a sophomore this year. He will continue to use his fiscal and budgetary experience to guide CCSMS forward on sound economic footing.
Delores Fordham Gray is a graduate of Burke High School and Benedict College. Lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She has been an educator for over 31 years. During her years of teaching she coached girls’ basketball (including at CCSMS). She is currently employed with Charleston County School District and the Cheerleading Coach at R. B. Stall High School. Gray has two adult children. A member of the Commemorative Committee of Mother Emanuel AME Church and The Professional Football Players Mothers’ Association. This is her first year as a board member.
Dr. Michael Horner is Director of the Neuropsychology Clinic at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Horner has served on the Board since 2015, with the intention of improving open communication between the Board of Directors and the rest of the CCSMS community. He and his family live in West Ashley.
Ashley Wieters Redmond has a background in the legal and healthcare industries and currently is the Executive Director of the Foundation for Roper St. Francis Healthcare. She has been involved with Roper St Francis for the past eight years. She wants to be a part of the strategic planning and decision making process for CCSMS. Ms. Redmond states that her son has been provided with an excellent education and learning environment at the school. Her son is a freshman and her daughter is in the sixth grade.
Evan Reich is in his third year as a member of the CCSMS Board. Mr. Reich is the College Registrar at Trident Technical College. He has previous professional experience at The Citadel and in the area of liability claims as well as in law enforcement. Mr. Reich hold a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from The Citadel as well as a Masters in Education, also from The Citadel.
David Wolf is a commercial and business attorney who assisted with the creation of CCSMS’ non-profit corporation and application for charitable status as a Charter Committee Member years ago. He began his service on the Board as a community member in 2013 and currently has middle school students attending CCSMS. With his legal background, Mr. Wolf has participated in the negotiation and resolution of several agreements benefitting the school, such as the Facilities Use Agreement which granted CCSMS the use of the entire Rivers Campus and recreational space where the mobile classrooms were located.
